In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/en\/review-infinite-lagrange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Infinite Lagrange<\/a>, there are 3 kinds of common resources, which are <code>Metal<\/code>, <code>Crystal<\/code>, and <code>Deuterium<\/code> (and <code>Trojite<\/code> is introduced in a further game phase). Their yield depends on the <code>operational<\/code> (resource mining), <code>base yield<\/code>, and <code>union bonus<\/code>. Then, these resources are required for building (e.g. outpost and mining platform), base upgrading, and also building your fleet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maximizing resource yield<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically, to maximize your resource yield, you need to maximize the <code>operational<\/code> and <code>base yield<\/code>. <code>Operational<\/code> yield depends on the mining rate, whereas <code>base yield<\/code> depends on base upgrades and where it is docked. These base upgrades are <code>Small Integrated Plant<\/code>, <code>Smelting Plant<\/code>, <code>Crystal Synthesis Plant<\/code>, and <code>D20 Electrolysis Plant<\/code>. Meanwhile, the <code>union bonus<\/code> depends on the number and level of cities captured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"999\" height=\"558\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Infinite-Lagrange-resources.jpg\" alt=\"Resource Panel\" class=\"wp-image-4561\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, there are many ways to maximize your operational yield per hour:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>maximizing the number of mining fleets<\/em>, which depends on the number of available <code>resource ports<\/code>; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>all mining fleets should travel less often<\/em>; can be achieved by using the largest type of available utility ships and increasing the mining fleet&#8217;s <code>storage<\/code> (and <code>warp speed<\/code>); and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>use mining platform<\/em>;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Increasing the utility ship <code>storage<\/code> and <code>warp speed<\/code> could be done by upgrading its blueprint. In addition, mining fleet storage could also be improved by adding military ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mining Fleet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Utility ships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the early game, you can only build <code>Small Utility Ship<\/code>. Then, as the game progress, you can build <code>Medium Utility Ship<\/code>, when you have reached base level 4 and researched the <code>Large Utility Ship Dockyard<\/code>. In the mid game, after you reached base level 8 and researched the <code>Utility platform Dockyard<\/code>, you can build <code>Large Utility Ship<\/code>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"998\" height=\"642\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Infinite-Lagrange-utility-ships.jpg\" alt=\"Resource mining utility ships\" class=\"wp-image-4583\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Building <code>X10<\/code> requires twice <code>resource ports<\/code> as <code>X8<\/code>, but as you can see that the default mining rate of <code>X10<\/code> is more than twice of <code>X8<\/code>&#8216;s (34000\/h vs 10000\/h). This is also the case with the <code>X20<\/code> and <code>X10<\/code>. Therefore, When you have access to <code>Medium Utility Ship<\/code>, you can gradually scrap your <code>Small Utility Ships<\/code> and replace them with <code>Medium Utility Ships<\/code>. At a later time, you can also gradually scrap your <code>Medium Utility Ships<\/code> and replace them with <code>Large Utility Ships<\/code>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"999\" height=\"558\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Infinite-Lagrange-engineering-UAV-system.jpg\" alt=\"utility ships enhancements\" class=\"wp-image-4587\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than that, you need to periodically check your utility ship&#8217;s blueprint for any <code>tech points<\/code> to further improve the mining speed efficiency, storage capacity, and warp speed. In the engineering UAV system, we suggest that you prioritize the <code>mining speed<\/code> enhancements, as the <code>storage capacity<\/code> could be substituted by adding military ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mining Fleet Composition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To mine a resource, a mining fleet could only contain a single utility ship. However, you can add multiple military ships to increase the storage capacity of a mining fleet. There are two best options you can choose from, <code>AC721 Heavy Logistics Destroyer<\/code> and <code>Crasher Armed Transport<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"999\" height=\"598\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Infinite-Lagrange-ac721-crasher.jpg\" alt=\"AC721 and Crasher ships\" class=\"wp-image-4636\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <code>AC721 Heavy Logistics Destroyer<\/code> is the best option, as it is a standard blueprint and cheap. Also, you can upgrade its storage up to <code>25200<\/code>. To build it, you need to quickly upgrade your base to Level 3. So that you could start researching <code>Destroyer Dockyard<\/code>. Then you can gradually build 15 ships of <code>AC721 Heavy Logistics Destroyer<\/code>, and deploy that ships equally in your mining fleets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"670\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Infinite-Lagrange-mining-fleet-composition.jpg\" alt=\"Mining Fleet Composition\" class=\"wp-image-4605\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also buy <code>Crasher Armed Transport<\/code> from the trading post near city of level 5 or higher. While it is expensive to purchase, it may be useful when you need more capacity in your mining fleets. Besides, because <code>Crasher<\/code> is a <code>cruiser<\/code>, you can use it to help mine in the <code>radiation zone<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mining area<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Basic operational area<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning of the game, you can only use the basic circle operational area. This circle area did not give you any bonuses. So, you can only try to reduce the mining fleet&#8217;s travel time from base to resource nodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"999\" height=\"744\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Infinite-Lagrange-setting-operational-area.jpg\" alt=\"optimizing operational area\" class=\"wp-image-4668\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We know that cruise speed is far slower than warp speed. The mining fleet will require longer travel time if we set the area as in image A. Therefore, with the same distance to the resource node, try to set the operational area where you can minimize the cruising path, as in image B above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mining platform<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 3 types of mining platforms; <code>Basic (BMP)<\/code>, <code>Intermediate (IMP)<\/code>, and <code>Advanced (AMP)<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"999\" height=\"451\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Infinite-Lagrange-mining-platforms.jpg\" alt=\"resource mining platform\" class=\"wp-image-4756\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <code>BMP<\/code> is the cheapest one to build, but with only a few benefits. The <code>AMP<\/code> is the most expensive but with the most benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To maximize the mining rate, build one of these mining platform in the area with rich resources. You can use the resource layer feature to find the rich resource area. You can zoom in\/out your screen to find this resource layer. The brighter green means richer resources. In addition, you still need to minimize the mining fleet&#8217;s travel time and increase their storage as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"998\" height=\"555\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Infinite-Lagrange-map-resource-layer.jpg\" alt=\"resource layer\" class=\"wp-image-4759\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resources trade<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The other way to get more resources is by buying Resources Pack from the trading post, using <code>UE coins<\/code>. <code>Large Resource Pack<\/code> contains <code>120k Metal<\/code>, <code>2000 Crystal<\/code>, and <code>1400 Deuterium<\/code>. Whereas, <code>Medium Resource Pack<\/code> contains <code>50k Metal<\/code>, <code>1000 Crystal<\/code>, and <code>600 Deuterium<\/code>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than that, low-level cities may only provide <code>Medium Resource Packs<\/code>. You can only find <code>Large resource packs<\/code> in the trading post near city level 7 or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"995\" height=\"206\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Infinite-Lagrange-resource-pack-tradeport.jpg\" alt=\"resource pack\" class=\"wp-image-4760\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other side, you could get the resources you need by converting from other types of resources. This feature could be found in your <code>Base<\/code> &gt; <code>Domestic Affairs<\/code> &gt; <code>Resource Trade<\/code>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"997\" height=\"344\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indowhiz.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Infinite-Lagrange-resource-trade.jpg\" alt=\"resource trade\" class=\"wp-image-4761\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, resource trade can only gives you 60% of its actual value. For example, 1 <code>Deuterium<\/code> is equal to 100 <code>Metals<\/code>. But using resource trade, you can only get up to 60 <code>Metals<\/code> for each <code>Deuterium<\/code> trade.
