Are you a lecturer, researcher, or graduate student?
If so, then this article will help those of you who want to publish their research<\/a> to a journal indexed by Scopus. We all know that publish in Scopus journals is not easy. Many stages and revisions must be pass until they can accept and published. You know, so many papers have been rejecting even before the review process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

However, you don’t need to worry. I have some surefire tips to get through to the Scopus Indexed Journal. I took these tips from my experience for 3 years (2016-2018) in researching and writing my research to the Journal. After one time was rejected, I try to improve the results of my writing, and finally, my paper can pass and publish in Scopus. 1. Read This Slide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2. Try to Attend Conferences with Published Outputs in Scopus Indexed Journal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For those of you who are still beginners or have tried to put a paper into the Scopus Journal but still fail, you can try this method. Inserting paper into conferences with Scopus Journal outputs is relatively easier and faster. It’s easier because the conference organizers usually provide quite a lot of quota for the paper received. So, the possibility of qualification is greater. Sometimes faster, because conferences have paper deadline deadlines and usually within one year the paper can be published. In addition, most reviewers at the conference will complete the review process quickly because it is limited by the deadline for organizing conferences. Both of these can be one of the easy ways to pass to the Scopus Journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the conferences in Indonesia which have outputs in Scopus indexed journals for the Informatics field is ICW Telkomnika<\/a><\/strong>. My team and I have successfully published a paper entitled “Integrating fuzzy logic and genetic algorithm for upwelling prediction in Maninjau Lake<\/a><\/strong>” in the conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Minimum Reference is 20 Articles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s quite a lot if you have to read 20 other articles to support good research. But that must be done so that the quality of our publications will be better. Remember, the issue of reference numbers is calculated by most of the top journal’s reviewer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The Authors Must Be More Than One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Look at this problem, good research is usually not done alone, there is always a solid team behind it. If necessary, invite people who previously have publications on Scopus to do joint research<\/a> <\/strong>with you. This can provide a separate judgment for the journal editor to pass your paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Maximum Plagiarism is 15%<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Use software to see the percentage of plagiarism in the paper we write. There are many plagiarism software that can use for ranging from paid ones like Turnitin<\/a><\/strong> to free ones like Plagramme<\/a><\/strong>. If you are a lecturer or teacher or instructor, you can increase your account on Plagramme to be able to use plagiarism checks up to 20 articles per month, free of charge. Currently, international journals with the top ranking in Scopus require articles submitted to have a maximum plagiarism index of 15%, the lowest ranking Scopus maybe around 20%<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Don’t Submit Paper in ‘Predatory Journal’<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is a particular emphasis on publishing papers. So, do not be easily tempted to submit your paper into journals<\/a> of unclear origin (predatory). Because a good journal never e-mails you to submit a paper in their place. 7. Practice and Patience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Exercise and patience are the most important keys to doing all of the above. So, keep the spirit of trying and never give up! For articles sent to international journals indexed by Scopus, the time needed to wait for the results of the review is not short. At the most, around 3 months and can even wait for 1 to 2 years until finally acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hopefully, the tips above can help you in pursuing the dream of publishing in the journal Scopus. And remember, it’s can not be obtained quickly. We must be patient and persevering. Based on my experience, I need to practice my writing skills to be able to pass in the National Journal<\/a><\/strong>, National Conferences<\/strong>, to International Conferences<\/strong>. After that, I have the opportunity to publish on Scopus<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
